Shipping profiles help sellers apply the correct shipping settings to their products. A shipping profile includes information such as the shipping weight and optional package details, allowing you to quickly assign shipping settings when listing items.
Using shipping profiles makes listing products faster and helps ensure accurate shipping calculations.
Choose a Shipping Profile
When adding a new product, you can select an existing shipping profile that matches the item you are listing.
To choose a shipping profile:
Open Store Management in the Rwaj app or on rwaj.co.
Go to My Products.
Click Add + to create a new product listing.
Under Shipping Profile, select one of the suggested profiles available.
Choosing a profile automatically applies the shipping settings associated with it to your product.
Create a Custom Shipping Profile
If none of the suggested profiles match your product, you can create a custom shipping profile.
To create a custom profile:
Open Store Management.
Go to My Products.
Click Add + to add a product.
In the Shipping Profile section, click the + icon.
Enter the required shipping profile details.
Information Required for a Shipping Profile
When creating a custom shipping profile, you will need to complete the following fields:
Profile name – A name to help you identify the shipping profile.
Categories – The product categories this profile will apply to.
Weight – The weight of the item.
Tip: Always enter the true packed weight. Underestimating weight can lead to shipping issues. Overestimating weight can increase the shipping cost shown to buyers at checkout and affect bundling.
Optional Shipping Details
You can also add additional packaging information to improve shipping accuracy. These fields are optional but recommended for certain types of products.
Optional details include:
Dimensions – Length, width, and height
Unit – Measurement unit used for the package
Max items per package – The maximum number of items that can be shipped together
Packaging type
Providing these details is especially helpful for box-shaped, bulky, or oversized items. It can also improve bundling accuracy when multiple items are shipped in one package.
When to Set a Max Bundle Size
You may want to set a max bundle size when selling items that should not be combined with too many other items in one package.
Consider setting a max bundle size if you are shipping:
Fragile items that should not be packed with many other items
Heavy or bulky items that cannot fit together safely
Pre-packaged or boxed items that should ship individually
How Bundling Works with Shipping Profiles
Bundling allows multiple items purchased by a buyer to ship together in one package.
If a max bundle size is set:
Items will only bundle with other items using the same shipping profile.
Bundling will stop once the maximum number of items is reached.
Example:
If you set a max bundle size of 3 and a buyer purchases 4 items, then:
3 items will ship together, and
1 item will ship separately.
This helps prevent packages from becoming too large, heavy, or unsafe to ship.
